Machine Learning Blog

AWS has announced the public preview of inline code nodes in Amazon Bedrock Flows, a new feature that allows developers to write Python scripts directly within workflows without using separate AWS Lambda functions.

  • Enables preprocessing and postprocessing tasks within generative AI workflows
  • Supports Python 3.12 and above with up to 4 MB of code
  • Provides a sandbox environment for code execution
  • Allows processing of data before and after LLM calls
  • Supports popular packages like opencv, scipy, and pypdf

The feature aims to simplify AI application development by reducing infrastructure complexity and making workflow creation more accessible to developers across organizations.
