AWS HealthOmics has introduced new features to support third-party container registries for private workflows, enhancing flexibility for healthcare and life sciences customers.

  • Supports ECR pull-through cache for retrieving containers from multiple registries, including Docker Hub, Quay, GitHub, and others
  • Enables automatic container URI remapping to private ECR URIs without manual workflow definition updates
  • Available in regions including US East, US West, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Israel
  • Aims to accelerate workflow development by eliminating manual container synchronization tasks
  • Maintains HIPAA-eligibility for healthcare and life sciences research

This enhancement simplifies container management and improves workflow efficiency for bioinformatics teams using AWS HealthOmics.
