Amazon RDS for Oracle is now available with Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 (SE2) License Included instances in Asia Pacific (Thailand) and Mexico (Central) regions

Amazon RDS for Oracle has expanded its Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 (SE2) License Included instances to two new regions:

  • Asia Pacific (Thailand)
  • Mexico (Central)

Key highlights of this release include:

  • No need to purchase separate Oracle Database licenses
  • Available on R7i and M7i instances
  • Customers can launch instances through AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs
  • No additional license or support charges

This expansion aims to help customers lower costs and simplify database operations by using License Included RDS Oracle instances.
