Amazon Bedrock has expanded support for Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4 with Global Cross-Region inference capabilities.
- Users can now route inference requests across supported commercial AWS Regions
- Enables optimization of available resources and higher model throughput
- Helps manage unplanned traffic bursts by distributing compute across different regions
- Previously supported regional inference profiles (US, EU, APAC) now complemented by a Global profile
- Provides flexibility for generative AI use cases without geographic restrictions
This enhancement allows more efficient and scalable use of Amazon Bedrock's Claude Sonnet 4 model by providing greater inference routing options.
