Amazon ECS Service Connect adds support for cross-account workloads
News
Amazon ECS Service Connect now supports cross-account workload communication through AWS Resource Access Manager (AWS RAM).
- Enables seamless service communication across different AWS accounts
- Uses AWS Cloud Map namespaces for service and task information sharing
- Allows sharing namespaces with individual accounts, Organizational Units, or entire AWS Organization
- Supports both Fargate and EC2 launch modes
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions via multiple management interfaces
The new feature simplifies service discovery, reduces resource duplication, and improves operational efficiency for multi-account architectures by creating a consistent, shared service registry.
