Amazon EC2 R8gb instances are now generally available

AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon EC2 R8gb instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, offering significant performance improvements for compute and storage workloads.

  • Up to 30% better compute performance compared to Graviton3 processors
  • Up to 150 Gbps of EBS bandwidth
  • Instance sizes up to 24xlarge with up to 768 GiB of memory
  • Up to 200 Gbps of networking bandwidth
  • Supports Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking on larger sizes
  • Available in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions

These instances are ideal for high-performance databases, NoSQL databases, and workloads requiring scalable compute and storage performance.
