Amazon GameLift Servers has launched a new Local Zone in Dallas, Texas (us-east-1-dfw-2), expanding its infrastructure for game developers.
- Supports EC2 instances including C6gn, C6i, C6in, M6g, M6i, M6in, M8g, and R6i
- Enables deployment of fleets closer to players in the Dallas metro area
- Provides single-digit millisecond latency for real-time multiplayer gaming
- Can be easily enabled through the Amazon GameLift Servers Console
- Improves network performance for latency-sensitive gaming workloads
The new Local Zone helps game studios deliver more responsive gaming experiences by reducing network distance between servers and players.
