AWS Network Firewall enhances application layer traffic controls

AWS Network Firewall has introduced enhanced application layer traffic controls to improve network security and protocol handling:

• New default rules for handling TLS client hellos and fragmented HTTP requests
• Added stateful actions for dropping and alerting on established connections
• Enables better security inspection for traffic with segmented packet information
• Supports modern TLS implementations and large HTTP requests
• Available in all AWS Regions that support Network Firewall

The update allows security teams to implement more robust network protections without creating complex custom rules, making it easier to secure applications using modern protocols and encryption standards.
