AWS Transfer Family now supports VPC endpoint policies and FIPS VPC endpoints

News

AWS Transfer Family has introduced two new features to enhance security and control for file transfer services:

  • VPC endpoint policies now allow granular access control over Transfer Family APIs
  • Administrators can specify which API actions can be performed and by which principals
  • Endpoint policies work in conjunction with existing IAM and organizational policies
  • Added support for Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-3 enabled VPC endpoints
  • Feature is available in all AWS Regions where Transfer Family is supported

These enhancements provide improved data protection and more precise security management for AWS Transfer Family users.
