AWS Transfer Family has launched support for IPv6 endpoints across all available AWS Regions, enhancing network connectivity for file transfer services.
- Supports dual-stack communication for SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2 server endpoints
- Enables both IPv6 and IPv4 client connections
- Provides expanded address space to eliminate address exhaustion concerns
- Allows gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6 without complete system overhaul
- Applicable to service APIs and server endpoints
This update simplifies network architecture for IPv6-native applications and provides more flexible connectivity options for AWS Transfer Family users.
