Amazon RDS for Db2 has introduced support for native database-level backups, providing enhanced database management and migration capabilities.
- Enables selective backup of individual databases within a multi-database RDS for Db2 instance
- Facilitates efficient database migration to another instance or on-premises environment
- Allows easy creation of database copies for development and testing
- Helps meet compliance requirements through separate backup copies
- Reduces storage costs by backing up specific databases instead of full instance snapshots
The feature is now available in all AWS Regions where Amazon RDS for Db2 is offered, providing more flexibility for database management.
