Amazon RDS for Db2 now supports read replicas

Amazon RDS for Db2 has introduced support for read replicas, offering new scalability and performance options for database management.
- Customers can create up to three read replicas per database instance
- Read replicas can be set up in the same or different regions
- Changes are replicated asynchronously to read replicas
- Allows running read-only queries without impacting primary database performance
- Read replicas can be promoted for disaster recovery
Licensing is required for read replica vCPUs, with options including On-Demand licenses from AWS Marketplace or Bring Your Own License (BYOL).
