AWS’ Customer Carbon Footprint Tool now includes Scope 3 emissions data

AWS has expanded its Customer Carbon Footprint Tool (CCFT) to include comprehensive emissions data across all three Greenhouse Gas Protocol scopes.

  • Now includes Scope 3 emissions and Scope 1 natural gas and refrigerant data
  • Provides visibility into carbon impact of AWS infrastructure lifecycle
  • Covers emissions from server manufacturing, facility power, and equipment transportation
  • Historical data available back to January 2022
  • Accessible through CCFT dashboard and AWS Billing and Cost Management Data Exports

The update enables customers to track their cloud carbon footprint, support sustainability goals, and incorporate carbon insights into operational planning.
