Amazon RDS has expanded IPv6 support to publicly accessible databases, enabling dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) connectivity for RDS and Aurora databases.
- Allows configuration of databases with both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
- Provides expanded address space for application scaling
- Enables easier management of IP ranges for microservices
- Supports gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6
- Available in all AWS regions with existing IPv6 VPC support
