Amazon Kinesis Data Streams has launched On-demand Advantage mode, a new feature that enables instant throughput scaling and cost optimization for streaming workloads.
- Provides warm throughput capability up to 10 GiB/s for instant scaling during traffic surges
- Introduces a new pricing structure with at least 60% discount for committed usage
- Requires a minimum commitment of 25 MiB/s throughput for 24 hours
