Mountpoint for Amazon S3 and its CSI driver now offer enhanced monitoring capabilities through observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Emits near real-time metrics using OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP)
- Supports publishing metrics through CloudWatch agent or OpenTelemetry collector
- Allows creation of dashboards for monitoring and troubleshooting
- Provides granular metrics like S3 request error types at EC2 instance level
- Replaces previous method of logging metrics in log files
Users can now proactively monitor and analyze S3 access and performance issues across their applications with detailed, real-time metrics.
