Amazon OpenSearch Serverless has expanded its support for Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliant endpoints for Data Plane APIs across several regions.
- Supported regions include US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), Canada (Central), AWS GovCloud (US-East), and AWS GovCloud (US-West)
- Meets security requirements for cryptographic modules outlined in FIPS 140-3
- Provides enhanced security compliance for government and regulated industries
This update enables customers in sensitive sectors to leverage OpenSearch Serverless with enhanced cryptographic standards and security assurances.
