Custom domain names for VPC Lattice resources
Networking & Content Delivery Blog
AWS has announced custom domain names for VPC Lattice resources, enabling new capabilities for sharing and accessing resources across VPCs and accounts.
- Allows resource owners to specify Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) for Lattice resources
- Supports custom domain verification process to prove domain ownership
- Enables access to cluster-based resources, TLS applications, and Amazon/third-party domains
- Provides flexibility with verified and unverified domain options
- Automatically creates private hosted zones in consumer VPCs for easy resource access
This feature simplifies application networking by reducing infrastructure management overhead and making cross-VPC and cross-account resource sharing more seamless.
