- Allows precise control over Availability Zone and subnet selection for instance launches
- Enables quick implementation of alternative strategies based on immediate feedback
- Includes optional asynchronous retries to help reach desired capacity
- Available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Ireland), and Asia Pacific (Singapore)
- No additional cost beyond standard EC2 and EBS usage
The new API gives EC2 Auto Scaling customers greater flexibility and real-time visibility into scaling operations, improving their ability to manage fleet capacity dynamically.
