  • ECS Managed Instances now supports configurable scaleInAfter parameter up to 60 minutes
  • Allows customization of instance termination timing to match specific workload requirements
  • Set scaleInAfter to -1 to disable optimization and retain instances for 14 days
  • Helps balance cost optimization with operational needs and reduces instance churn
  • Available via ECS API, console, SDK, CDK, and CloudFormation
  • Feature available in all commercial AWS Regions

This enhancement gives users greater control over cost optimization and instance management in ECS Managed Instances.
