This article announces a new encryption attribute for Amazon EC2 Fleet's Attribute-Based Instance Type Selection (ABIS).

  • RequireEncryptionInTransit parameter enables selection of encryption-supporting instance types
  • Addresses compliance needs for VPC Encryption Controls in enforced mode
  • Combines encryption requirements with vCPU, memory, and other instance attributes
  • Improves capacity fulfillment while maintaining security standards
  • GetInstanceTypesFromInstanceRequirements API previews eligible instance types
