This article announces that Amazon RDS for Oracle and SQL Server now support up to 256 TiB storage capacity, a significant increase from previous limits.
- Storage capacity increased 4x to 256 TiB per database instance
- Add up to three additional storage volumes, each up to 64 TiB
- Add, scale, or remove volumes without application downtime
- Temporarily add volumes for short-term storage needs like month-end processing
- Mix high-performance io2 and cost-effective gp3 volumes for optimization
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions and GovCloud (US)
RDS for Oracle and SQL Server customers can now scale storage flexibly and cost-effectively by combining multiple volume types based on workload requirements.
