This article announces HTTP-based authentication and authorization support for Amazon MQ RabbitMQ brokers.

  • RabbitMQ brokers can now authenticate users via HTTP server requests
  • Available for RabbitMQ 4.2 and above on Amazon MQ
  • Requires m7g instance type for deployment
  • Configure through AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs
  • Available in all regions where Amazon MQ RabbitMQ 4 is supported

Amazon MQ now enables external HTTP-based authentication and authorization for RabbitMQ brokers, simplifying identity management integration.
