This article announces certificate-based authentication support for Amazon MQ RabbitMQ brokers using mutual TLS.
- RabbitMQ brokers can now authenticate using X.509 client certificates with mTLS
- Requires RabbitMQ version 4.2 and above on M7g instance types
- Configure auth_mechanism_ssl plugin via the broker configuration file
- Available in all regions where Amazon MQ RabbitMQ 4 is supported
- Enable through AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs
