This article announces that Amazon ElastiCache Serverless now supports IPv6 and dual stack connectivity options.
- Three network type options available: IPv4, IPv6, or dual stack
- Dual stack enables simultaneous IPv4 and IPv6 connections for gradual migration
- IPv6-only subnets eliminate need for IPv4 addresses
- Supports compliance requirements for IPv6 adoption
- Available in all AWS Regions including GovCloud and China at no additional cost
ElastiCache Serverless now offers greater flexibility for network connectivity, supporting modern IPv6 infrastructure while maintaining backward compatibility.
