News
This article announces IPv6 support for AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (AWS DRS), enabling disaster recovery in IPv6-only and dual-stack network environments.
- AWS DRS now supports IPv6 for data replication and control plane connections
- Customers can configure replication using IPv6 instead of requiring IPv4 addresses
- Dual-stack endpoints support agent-to-service communication and data replication
- Helps meet network modernization requirements and enables DR in IPv4-restricted environments
- Existing IPv4 configurations remain unchanged and continue working by default
- Available in all AWS Regions where DRS and EC2 IPv6 support exist
AWS DRS now enables disaster recovery in modern IPv6-only network environments while maintaining backward compatibility with existing IPv4 configurations.
