This article announces that Amazon MWAA Serverless now supports workflow and task state change events to Amazon EventBridge, enabling event-driven automation for Apache Airflow workflows.
- Emits events for workflow state transitions: started, running, succeeded, failed
- Emits events for task state changes: scheduled, succeeded, failed, up for retry
- Eliminates need for custom polling logic or manual workflow monitoring
- Enables automated alerts when production workflows fail
- Allows automatic restart of dependent pipelines on upstream success
- Supports compliance logging of state transitions to Amazon S3
- Available in all AWS Regions where MWAA Serverless is supported
This feature enables data engineering teams to build event-driven automation and monitoring for Apache Airflow workflows without custom code.
