Amazon CloudWatch Logs now enriches log events with AWS resource tags, making it easier to filter, search, and analyze logs by organizational metadata.
- Resource tags added directly to log events at ingestion time
- Filter logs by team ownership, environment, cost center, or application name
- Use tags immediately in log queries without custom pipelines
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions except Middle East and Israel
- Enable through CloudWatch Settings, AWS CLI, or SDKs at no additional cost
Tag enrichment simplifies log analysis by leveraging existing AWS resource tags without requiring changes to logging instrumentation.
