Amazon CloudWatch Logs enriches log events with AWS resource tags

News

Amazon CloudWatch Logs now enriches log events with AWS resource tags, making it easier to filter, search, and analyze logs by organizational metadata.

  • Resource tags added directly to log events at ingestion time
  • Filter logs by team ownership, environment, cost center, or application name
  • Use tags immediately in log queries without custom pipelines
  • Available in all commercial AWS Regions except Middle East and Israel
  • Enable through CloudWatch Settings, AWS CLI, or SDKs at no additional cost

Tag enrichment simplifies log analysis by leveraging existing AWS resource tags without requiring changes to logging instrumentation.
