Amazon Connect Customer now supports assigning up to 7 security profiles with granular access controls per user
News
Amazon Connect now supports assigning up to 7 security profiles per user, increased from the previous limit of 2, enabling granular access controls for multi-line-of-business agents.
- Agents can have distinct, scoped permission sets for each line of business
- Enforced through tag-based or hierarchy-based access controls
- Ensures least privilege access without overly broad profiles
- Available in all AWS regions where Amazon Connect is offered
- Example: Financial services agents can have separate profiles for credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, personal banking, investments, insurance, and fraud
This enhancement provides greater flexibility to align security models with organizational structure while maintaining strict access boundaries.
