Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB now supports customer-managed backup and restore capabilities, enabling users to protect their time-series data with flexible scheduling and recovery options.
- Create on-demand backups or schedule automated recurring backups with hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or custom frequencies
- Define up to four automated backup configurations per resource with independent retention periods
- First backup captures full database copy; subsequent backups are incremental to minimize performance impact
- Restore backups to new resources or replace existing ones while preserving source configurations
- Customer Managed KMS keys are maintained during backup and restore operations
- Available for InfluxDB 2 and InfluxDB 3 engines across all AWS regions via Console, CLI, and API
