Amazon CloudWatch Centralization now copies log group tags from source accounts to destination log groups created by centralization rules.
- Tags are automatically synchronized based on propagation behavior configured in centralization rules
- Preserves cost, ownership, and compliance tags across centralized log groups
- Enables IAM access scoping and cost reporting by team in AWS Cost Explorer
- Available in all AWS Regions where CloudWatch Centralization is supported
- Configure via CloudWatch console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs
