AWS Batch now supports Amazon EKS access entry authentication
News
AWS Batch now supports Amazon EKS access entry authentication for compute environments, providing an API-driven approach to granting IAM principals access to Kubernetes clusters.
- EKS access entries complement the existing aws-auth ConfigMap for cluster access management
- Use CreateComputeEnvironment or UpdateComputeEnvironment APIs to enable access entry authentication
- AWS Batch creates one access entry per cluster and associates AWSBatchClusterPolicy
- Configure through AWS CLI, SDKs, or AWS Management Console
- Available in all AWS Regions where AWS Batch is supported
This feature simplifies cluster setup and streamlines authentication lifecycle management for AWS Batch on Amazon EKS.
