Amazon GameLift Servers adds CPU burstability for container fleets
News
Amazon GameLift Servers now supports CPU burstability for container fleets, enabling game developers to optimize compute resource allocation and performance.
- Allows containers to burst into available idle CPU during peak demand moments
- Resolves previous constraint of fixed CPU values limiting both packing density and runtime performance
- Game server workloads can maintain high-density deployments without sacrificing peak performance
- Opt-in feature configured per container group definition at no additional cost
- Available in all AWS Regions where container fleets are supported, excluding China Regions
CPU burstability enables game developers to balance efficient resource utilization with performance headroom for bursty workloads.
