Introducing Amazon Aurora DSQL

AWS has introduced Amazon Aurora DSQL, a new serverless distributed SQL database designed for high availability and scalability:
- Offers 99.99% availability in single-Region and 99.999% in multi-Region configurations
- Provides virtually unlimited scale without database sharding or instance upgrades
- Uses an innovative active-active distributed architecture across multiple Availability Zones
- PostgreSQL-compatible with support for ACID transactions and strong data consistency
- Enables serverless design with zero infrastructure management
- Supports multi-Region clusters with synchronous write replication
The preview release allows developers to create highly resilient and scalable database applications with minimal operational overhead.
