AWS EC2 Auto Scaling now supports Launch Before Terminate at account-level to replace instances

AWS EC2 Auto Scaling now supports Launch Before Terminate as a default account-level setting for all Auto Scaling groups.

• Launches replacement instances before terminating old ones, maintaining full capacity during replacements
• Applies to instance refreshes, rebalancing, health checks, and maximum-instance-lifetime replacements
• Configure once at account level using new PutAccountSetting and DescribeAccountSetting APIs
• Manage through AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs
• Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost

This feature helps applications maintain availability during instance replacement events by ensuring new instances are healthy before old ones are terminated.
