AWS AppSync has introduced support for logging GraphQL data plane operations using AWS CloudTrail, providing enhanced visibility and security for application developers.
- Enables logging of GraphQL API activities, including queries, mutations, subscriptions, and WebSocket connection requests
- Captures detailed information such as:
- Specific API requests
- IP address of the requester
- Requester's identity
- Date and time of the request
- Supports logging configuration through AWS CloudTrail Console or CloudTrail APIs
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions where AppSync is supported
This feature helps organizations improve operational auditing, governance, and compliance by providing comprehensive tracking of GraphQL API interactions.
