Amazon has announced an enhanced Kinesis Data Streams On-Demand Mode with significant performance improvements:
- Increased write throughput from 2 GB/s to 10 GB/s per stream
- Increased read throughput from 4 GB/s to 20 GB/s per stream
- Supports serverless data streaming with automatic scaling
- No manual capacity management required
- Currently available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Ireland) regions
The update enables customers to handle high-throughput data streams more efficiently, with pay-per-use pricing and seamless scalability for real-time data processing applications.
