AWS CloudFormation Hooks introduces stack and change set target invocation points

News

AWS CloudFormation Hooks now offers new target invocation points for stack and change set operations, expanding its capability to enforce organizational best practices during infrastructure provisioning.

  • New feature allows hooks to inspect entire stack templates, not just individual resource properties
  • Enables validation of resource relationships and dependencies
  • Change set invocation point allows automated review of template updates
  • Hooks can fail deployments or provide warnings for non-compliant configurations
  • Available in all AWS Commercial Regions

This enhancement provides more comprehensive and flexible compliance checks during CloudFormation deployments, helping organizations maintain better control over their cloud infrastructure.
