
AWS CodePipeline adds two new native actions: ECRBuildAndPublish for Docker image publishing and InspectorScan for security vulnerability scanning directly within pipeline workflows.

AWS CodePipeline has introduced two new actions to simplify DevOps workflows:
</p>
<ul>
<li>ECRBuildAndPublish action: Enables direct building and publishing of Docker images to ECR within a pipeline</li>
<li>AWS InspectorScan action: Allows scanning of source code repositories and Docker images during pipeline execution</li>
</ul>
<p>
Previously, these tasks required creating and configuring separate CodeBuild projects. Now, users can directly add these actions to their pipelines, reducing complexity and streamlining the build and security scanning process.
</p>
<p>
The new actions are available in most AWS regions, excluding GovCloud and China Regions.
