AWS has announced the preview of Amazon Elastic VMware Service (Amazon EVS), a new native service for running VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) within Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
- Automates and simplifies VMware Cloud Foundation deployments on AWS
- Enables quick migration of VMware-based virtual machines to AWS
- Allows customers to use familiar VCF software and tools
- Offers self-managed or AWS Partner-managed deployment options
- Provides complete control over VMware architecture
- Currently available in preview for select customers and partners
Amazon EVS aims to provide the fastest path for migrating and operating VMware workloads on AWS, leveraging the cloud platform's scale, resilience, and performance.
