AWS has announced the general availability of custom billing views in AWS Billing and Cost Management, a new feature that enhances cost management across multiple accounts.
- Allows creation of filtered cost management views based on cost allocation tags or specific AWS accounts
- Enables sharing of cost data with member accounts using AWS Resource Access Manager
- Provides application and business unit owners access to relevant cost data across multiple accounts
- Reduces the number of users requiring access to the management account
- Available in all AWS Regions except GovCloud and China Regions
The feature is designed to support decentralized cost management, giving teams better visibility and control over their AWS spending across different accounts.
