Amazon DynamoDB now supports configurable point-in-time-recovery periods

Amazon DynamoDB has introduced configurable point-in-time recovery (PITR) periods for database tables, offering enhanced data protection and compliance capabilities.

  • Users can now specify PITR duration from 1 to 35 days per table
  • Protects against accidental writes and deletes by enabling data restoration to any second within the recovery period
  • Available in all AWS Regions, including GovCloud and China Regions
  • Pricing is based on the table size with PITR enabled
  • Helps organizations meet specific compliance and regulatory requirements

This feature provides more flexibility in data recovery and protection strategies for DynamoDB users.
