- Enables real-time updates to application configurations like Spark executor memory and YARN settings
- Applies configuration changes on a rolling basis across cluster nodes
- Maintains cluster stability and resource availability during updates
- Provides CloudWatch notifications and automatic rollback for incompatible changes
- Available for EMR 5.21 and later releases across all AWS Regions
