
Amazon ECS now supports CPU limits up to 192 vCPUs for tasks on EC2 instances, enabling more efficient resource allocation and management of larger workloads across multiple containers.

Amazon ECS has increased the CPU limit for ECS tasks from 10 to 192 vCPUs when deployed on Amazon EC2 instances, providing enhanced resource allocation capabilities.

<li>Supports up to 192 vCPU per task on EC2 instances</li>
<li>Allows defining soft and hard CPU/memory limits at container and task levels</li>
<li>Helps prevent resource contention between containers</li>
<li>Enables more efficient resource sharing on larger EC2 instances</li>
<li>Example: On a c7i.48xl instance, can run up to 6 tasks with 32 vCPU limits</li>
</ul>
<p>
Users can set these limits through AWS management console, SDK, CLI, CloudFormation, or CDK, with the new limit now available in all regions.
