Amazon EC2 has announced Time-based Copy for Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), a new feature that enables precise control over AMI copy operations.
- Customers can now specify AMI copy completion times between 15 minutes and 48 hours
- Helps meet compliance and disaster recovery time objectives
- Provides monitoring through EventBridge and a new CloudWatch metric
- Available in all AWS commercial and GovCloud (US) Regions
- Accessible via AWS Console, CLI, and SDKs
