IAM Access Analyzer now supports Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6)

AWS has announced IPv6 support for IAM Access Analyzer, enabling dual-stack endpoint connectivity for resource access monitoring.

  • Supports dual-stack endpoints with both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
  • Existing IPv4 endpoints remain available for backwards compatibility
  • Accessible from the internet or within Amazon VPC using AWS PrivateLink
  • Available in AWS Commercial Regions, GovCloud (US), and China Regions
  • Allows continuous monitoring of resource access and permissions

This enhancement provides more flexible network connectivity options for IAM Access Analyzer users while maintaining existing functionality.
