Amazon MSK has introduced seamless certificate renewal for MSK Provisioned clusters, addressing a key operational challenge for Kafka infrastructure:
- Enables automatic certificate renewal without cluster restart
- Certificates are automatically renewed every 13 months
- Maintains continuous client connectivity during renewal process
- Available across all AWS Regions supporting MSK Provisioned
This update eliminates potential service disruptions during encryption certificate updates, improving overall reliability and reducing manual intervention for Kafka cluster management.
