Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) has announced an upgraded Service Level Agreement (SLA) from 99.9% to 99.99% availability when using a Multi-Availability Zone configuration.

  • Provides 99.99% service availability across all generally available regions
  • Applies to the fully managed JSON document database service
  • Enables critical document workload operations at scale
  • No additional cost for the enhanced SLA
  • Supports running document databases without managing infrastructure

This SLA update demonstrates AWS's commitment to improving service reliability and performance for customers using DocumentDB.
