Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) now supports Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), offering enhanced networking capabilities for customers.

  • Supports IPv4, IPv6, and dual-stack client connections
  • Helps customers meet IPv6 compliance requirements
  • Eliminates complex IPv6 to IPv4 address translation infrastructure
  • Allows mounting file systems using IPv6 by specifying IP address type
  • Available in all AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions

This update provides customers with more flexible and modern networking options for managing and accessing their EFS file systems.
