Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling has introduced a new parameter in the DescribeAutoScalingGroups API that allows users to filter out instance details.
- New parameter: IncludeInstances set to false
- Allows quick access to Auto Scaling Group metadata and configurations
- Reduces API response size and improves response time
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
This update provides more efficient API querying for users managing Auto Scaling Groups by allowing them to retrieve group information without detailed instance data.
